The dates for the McFarland Summer XC series are opposite the BTC 5k Summer series. They are looking to
change the location of the races and have it at the Poker Run 5k course.  Here are the dates:

  • The weather was perfect and with the later starting time, the conditions were about as good as it gets in the
    summer. The Bakers (Sarah and Sally) gave us a ride to this third race in this six race series and they plan on
    bringing more runners out to the next one.
  • The field was smaller but the times were faster. Gonzales, Cisneros and Alcala took off quickly and in the end,
    Cisneros (Just graduated and plans to run at a JC in Arizona this fall) took the win over Galvin.

COST:  $5.00 per race.  High School Teams - $30.00 per team of 7 members.  You must run 3 races to qualify for
Adidas tech t-shirt and awards.

Course:  Is hilly, dirt surface and a XC type.  Weather is usually around 100 degrees or higher so please bring water
to keep yourself hydrated.  Course is GPS measured and exactly 5K.  The course will be the same course to be
used for the 2nd Annual JIM WHITE XC INVITE coming this fall's cross country season.
