Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run
- spoke to some local Bakersfield runners at the howlin at the moon race who
ran the rock to pier in the morning. They all agreed it was a great race with a largwe turnout and the weather was great.
- Ryan l\Lucker (csub) came in 3rd and said he PRed too. He came in 3rd last
year and Johnathan Peterson from Clovis came in second for the second year in a row too.
- Erica Silva (csub) said the weather was great at the beach but she felt better
running on the bike path at the howlin run. She ran 6 miles in the morning and the 10k in the night.
- Oscar fuentes (former east higher) also did the double (6 mile and 5k). He
came in 6th at the rock to pier.
- the drillers had 4 runners in the top 30. Ariey in 13th, Edquist in 18th, Van
matre in 22nd and Holt in 28th. There were 870 official finishers. Sarah Baker ran 49:02 for the 6 mile race too.
- if you look at the complete results, there were a lot of Bakersfield runners at
this event. I think it will be added to my travel plans for sure next year. I doubt we will try the double however.
